Our Adult Groups
IPAUSE
IPAUSE (Immanuel's Passionate Adults United for Service & Evangelism), is a close-knit group of twenty and thirty somethings: single, married and married with children. The group gathers on the third Saturday of every month to meet and discuss upcoming events and service projects and to make time in our busy schedules to socialize with our church peers. The group is a great mix of people which have been life-long members of Immanuel, as well as those whom are very new to Immanuel.
IPAUSE has participated in service projects with the Ronald McDonald House, the Kentucky Humane Society, the Shamrock Foundation, in addition to projects for the Immanuel church family, such as the I.Pages Immanuel business phone book and summer Dog Wash. IPAUSE also introduced the annual Rock-Paper-Scissors Tournament for Immanuel's yearly Septemberfest and re-introduced Co- Ed Competitive Softball. The group prides itself on its vivacious, youthful energy, as well as its competitive spirit! But the only true way to see what the group is about, is to come to go to one of the monthly meetings...ready for anything!
CUFFS
CUFFS is a social and service organization within Immanuel United Church of Christ. The CUFFS mission is based on the premise that fun and fellowship work hand-in-hand with service in honor of our Lord. The acronym CUFFS stands for Christians United for Fun, Fellowship, and Service. Meetings are usually held on the second Saturday evening of the month. All are welcome!
Hui-O-Fews
Hui-O-Few is the Hawaiian word for circle of friends. FEWS stands for Fellowship, Education, Worship and Service. Together for more than 25 years, these couples, ages 50's to 60's, meet the 4th Friday of each month.
Happy Boosters
This group of mature singles and couples meet the 4th Thursday of each month. This group prides themselves on their willingness to lend a helping hand to the needs of Immanuel Church. The group meets either the homes of their members, the church or travel to outside events.
Women of Immanuel
We are women of all ages who gather together once a month (except July) on the 3rd Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. We meet at church in the dining hall, have fun, and plan and carry out a variety of projects that benefit our church and local, national, and international needs. We are also known for our delicious Men's Breakfast on Father's Day, our delightful Septemberfest Silent Auction and Country Store, and our freshly picked Georgia pecans for sale in November and December. Our June meeting includes a potluck supper, and in December we have a lovely Christmas dinner in restful, beautiful surroundings.
Our Mission Statement is: The Women of Immanuel are inspired to live our faith journeys by serving, witnessing, learning, supporting each other, and furthering the missions of Immanuel and the United Church of Christ. We welcome all women anytime, whether or not you can attend regularly. Come and make more friends with other Women of Immanuel.
