What To Expect at Worship at Immanuel…
Our 10:45am Sunday Worship service is what many might describe as a “traditional Protestant” style. We have a roaring organ, a handbell choir of teenagers and young-at-heart, other musicians and musical groups that rotate through, and (when we’re not worried about COVID) a fantastic choir. To see some of our special music check out our YouTube Channel Our pastor’s sermons are heartfelt and honest. You can bring your whole self to church and feel welcomed — just as you are.
You’ll hear from the pulpit every Sunday, “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.” And we mean it.
In the sanctuary, folks tend to come dressed in a range from “Sunday best” to “nice casual,” but please don’t let worries about dress stop you.
For our online services, you can watch them on YouTube as soon as Sunday afternoon, but you’ll get more of a community feel if you join our live Zoom link here.
Want to check it out from the comfort of your home? All our previous services are posted to our YouTube channel here.
You can also find them on Facebook by following us @ImmanuelUCCLouKY.
Experience our Prayerground!
A PrayerGround or PrayGround (whichever term suits you) is an intentional space within an established sanctuary or worship area created with the experiential needs of children in mind (littles & elementary school). The goal of this space and all that it contains is for kids to use it to experience and participate fully in worship alongside their congregational family, while expressing worship and prayer in a uniquely childlike way. Simply, it’s a space for young children to be themselves and be part of the church at the same time.
